Step 1
Go to the Add content menu in the top left of the page.
Click the down arrow to the right of Add content.
Choose Article from the drop-down menu.

An Edit Article screen like the one below will appear.
Some Key Features:
Title Give your article a meaningful name. This name will appear in the page tree menu. By default, the title will also appear on your page. See Step 3 for instructions on how to hide this title.
eg, PovNet's Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Description This is the actual text that will appear on your web page.
You can type your text into the box, or you can paste text from another application (eg, Microsoft Word).
You can format your text using the buttons at the top of the description window. See Step 3 for more details.
Here are some of the formatting options you have:

Step 3 To add a link to your page, first click on the link button.
A box like the one on the right will appear. Link: Type the URL of the link (eg http://www.povnet.org/) into this box Text: Type the text you want someone to
click on to get to this link. This will be the text that is underlined on
your web page. |
Other Features
If you want to add links to your page, see Step 4 below.
If you want to add an image to your page, see Step 5 below.
If you want to add an attachment to your page, see Step 6 below.
Step 4 To add a link to your page, first click on the Links button. A window like the one on the right will open. Link: Put the URL of the web site you're linking to here.
Text: Put the text that the user will click on to get to the web site here.

To add an image to your page, click on the Browse button next to the images box.

Find the image file you want to attach.
Step 6
To add a file to your page (for example, a pdf document), click on the Browse button next to the Attachment box.

Find the file you want to attach.
Step 7
You're almost done creating your Article.
Click on the Layout tab. A box like the one below will appear.
Display the Title: Click Yes to display the article title, or No to hide it.
Template: Choose the template to use for your web site.
Page Template Position: Choose where your article will go on the page. For example, if you are working with a Side by Side template, choosing position 2 will put the article on the right-hand side of the page.

When you're finished, click on the Save button.
