Using a Message Board in WebGUI

Reading a Message

  • To read a message (and all the replies to it), click on the underlined message title under the Subject column.
  • To read the latest reply to a message, click on the underlined message title in the Last Reply column.
  • To search for a message on a topic, click on Search

  • Posting a Message

  • To start a message on a new subject, click on Start a New Thread.

    A Post a Message window like the one below will appear. Note that you may have different options, depending on how your message board is set up.

    Some options you may see are:

    Name Enter your name here. Note that if users have to log on to your web site, they will not see this box.

    Subject Enter a subject for your message.

    Message Enter the text of your message in this box.

    Subscribe to Thread Click yes if you would like to be sent an e-mail when someone responds to your message.


  • Moving From Thread to Thread

    When you're reading a message, you have lots of options to get to other messages on the Message Board

  • Back to Thread List will move you back to the list of subjects
  • Go to Previous Thread will move you to the thread posted immediately before the current thread
  • Go to Next Thread will move you to the thread posted immediately after the current thread
  • Click on Start a New Thread to start your own message on a new subject
