Members of the KICNS:
- Support the Northern Self Advocacy Conference, the Community Response Network and the Special Olympics In Prince Rupert.
- Strive daily to increase community awareness of the capabilities and needs of those with disabilities.
- Advocate for the inclusion of all people in the Prince Rupert Area, providing people with disabilities and their families with advocacy support when needed.
- Are involved in the School Board Advisory Committee, helping people with developmental disabilities make positive transitions while completing high school.
- Provide citizens with information regarding new Adult Guardianship Legisiation, and Path(Positive Alternative Tomorrow's with Hope) facilitation
