Paralegal Training
With cutbacks in social security and legal aid, it is becoming more and more important that community advocates, both paid and unpaid, be properly trained in the procedural and substantive parts of some areas of the law. CLAS provides ongoing training for paralegals who do not receive training through Legal Services Society or Law Foundation initiatives so that they can learn the basics of law and procedure.
Workshops & Other Educational Services
Upon request, CLAS will conduct workshops, CLE courses, for community groups and lay advocates, and the private bar in the areas relating to poverty, workers’ compensation, employment insurance, human rights and equality law.
